Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana PMUY Online Apply 2018 2019

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana PMUY Online Apply 2018 2019 aims to safeguard the health of women & children by providing them with a clean cooking fuel – LPG, so that they don’t have to compromise their health in smoky kitchens or wander in unsafe areas collecting firewood.

Online Application is available at all the LG Distributors in the country free of cost.

The eligible women candidates from BPL families can apply for the scheme by filling up the Ujjwala Yojana KYC application form (in prescribed format).




The interested candidates require to fill the 2 page application form and attach required documents along with the form. The basic details such as Name, Contact details, Jan Dhan / Bank account number, Aadhar card number etc are required to fill in the application form. The applicants also need to mention their requirement of cylinder type i.e. 14.2KG or 5KG.

HOW TO APPLY

• A woman of the BPL household, may apply for a new LPG connection (in the prescribed format) to the nearest LPG distributor.

• While submitting the application form, the woman needs to submit detailed address, Jandhan Bank Account and Aadhar number of all members of the household.

• The connection will be issued by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to the eligible beneficiaries after processing the application.

• In case the consumer opts for EMI, the EMI amount will be adjusted against the subsidy amount due to the consumer on each refill.

• BPL Certificate Authorised by Panchayat Pradhan / Municipality Chairman*

• BPL Ration Card*

• One Photo ID (Aadhar Card or Voter ID Card)*

• One Recent Passport Size Photograph*

Brief Modalities Of The Scheme Are Given As Under:

1. Cash assistance of Rs 1600/- per connection will be provided by the Government for each New connection and shall comprise of following :

• Security deposit of 14.2 kg / 5 kg cylinder

• Security deposit of pressure regulator

• Suraksha Hose (1.2 M)

• Installation /demonstration charges payable to distributor

• Cost of issue of DGCC booklet

2. While the connection charges of Rs 1600/- will be reimbursed by the Government of India , OMCs would provide the option of EMI to interested beneficiaries towards the cost of stove and first supply of gas. OMCS will recover the EMI from the subsidy amount payable to consumer for each refill.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 1.05. 2016 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh and subsequently the scheme was launched on 15.05.2016 in Dahod (Gujarat) by Hon’ble MOS(I/C) MOP&NG and was attended by Hon’ble Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. After this several state & district level launches were conducted in Srinagar (Uttarakhand), Faizabad (UP), Sambalpur (Odissa), Lucknow (UP) , Patna ( Bihar) and Shahdol (MP) which were flagged by Hon'ble MoS I/c P&NG and other Central and state Ministers.

Under this scheme, 5 Cr LPG connections will be provided to BPL families with a support of Rs.1600 per connection in the next 3 years. Ensuring women’s empowerment, especially in rural India, the connections will be issued in the name of women of the households. Rs. 8000 Cr. has been allocated towards the implementation of the scheme. Identification of the BPL families will be done through Socio Economic Caste Census Data.
