PSSC has been promoted by Ministry of Power through Central Electrical Authority (CEA) alongwith Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA). The Governing Body of PSSC is chaired by Chairperson, CEA as President and has representation from across the Power Sector covering Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Renewable Energy and Equipment Manufacturing. This is a completely industry and employer driven initiative designed to help them with improved availability of readily employable and skilled workforce through a robust process of development of National Occupational Standards (NOS), skill based training and finally its assessment and certification.
Role Description: Installs, removes and hanges Low voltage,single phase or three phase consumer energy meter, and supportive equipment at work site in accordance with energy providers guidelines.

Role Description: Senior Lineman - Distribution inspects and works with a team to construct, operate, maintain and repair overhead and underground power distribution systems. They interact with customers, senior management, vendors and other authorities.
Role Description: Technical Helper (Distribution) helps linemen in constructing operating, maintaining and repairing overhead and underground power distribution systems.
