Science and technology are two vast fields whose growth seems to be never ending. In today’s technically advance society, there do exist areas where technical upgradations have not seen their complete growth. Time and leisure are very hard to find. In a society where hard working lower and higher middle-class citizens, struggle to achieve the simplest of comforts, this smart system provides the same with additional features at an affordable price. The approach for smart automation system revolves around comfort and intuitive customization for the end user.
Existing home automation systems are dedicated for domestic purposes. A smart system implemented at conference halls or large firms are built with latest OS and do offer IOT safety but the system may not be conveyable. AUTES (Automated Union over Touch Enables System) tries to break the barriers of immobility, increasing its possibilities to be the best automation system available. It cooperates user interface with the help of IR sensor frame. Any user feed or instruction is spontaneously responded to with the corresponding action. The transfer of these processed controls is done by adhering to the concept of RF transmitters and receivers.
These concepts are kept true in many smart systems seen today but the variant factor is the adversity of features. Smart systems are usually designed to focus on a definitive aspect could be security, information etc. In this smart system the user’s comfort and ease of operation is given most attention. Hence AUTES also features a 2.1 surround sound system whose functional frequencies are processed with the help of crossover filters. Places where large groups of people are gathered, are seen as opportunities for spreading information. The centralized server connects the electric devices to the Table and offers an interface over the Internet via Web Services. Such scenario can be observed in museums, offices etc. The process of learning or sharing of information could be redefined with AUTES.
Smart system as AUTES easily overcomes utility cost by saving energy. By connecting the appliances to the system, the benefits of smart automation systems typically fall into a few categories including savings, safety, convenience and control. Eliminating possibilities of requiring any manpower.
Keeping user satisfaction in mind the smart automation system, can be further developed as extended space has already been provided for additional smart technologies to integrate with the system. Despite these benefits, it could still take some work to conclude that smart systems are a real boon to society.
Home is the first most important place to a human. Comfort at the end of the day gives relief to mind. Thus, scientists and engineers came together to combine various fields of engineering to give us Home Automation. Home automation system achieved great popularity in the last decades and it has gradually increased the comfort and quality of life. With Automated Union over Touch Enabled System (AUTES) Home Automation has been redefined. The application of wireless communication along with the implementation of a smart portable technology gives AUTES a unique touch. Once AUTES has been installed into your system, it can control two important aspects at home/ work areas & they are light & sound. Being a portable technology, AUTES can camouflage in any environment like offices, hospitals, museums, schools etc. this system consists of a Table that stays in control of the 2.1 Surround Sound System and the Extension Box. Control signals are transmitted using the RF channels and received and decoded using processing algorithms. AUTES is an independent system which can be installed/uninstalled easily without any extra effort. Giving it a larger compatibility range.

Surround Sound System
The AUTES 2.1 surround sound system redefines what a home entertainment system should be like in a modern form, function and design. With a beige skin color, wooden frame and an effective, companion subwoofer the AUTES speaker makes bulky audio equipment look and sound unique. The speaker consists of custom developed circuits such as Volume unit meter, Amplifier circuits and Supply drivers tuned to perfection and maximum processing power for the latest audio technologies. A small package of entertainment to enjoy a rich, multi-channel listening experience for your home entertainment system.
This custom designed speaker consists of few important circuits whose outputs play a vital role in the audio output. The 2.1 surround sound system consists of 3 speakers, 2 of which are fed with high frequency while the last one takes in low frequency. These Frequencies are produced by the Audio amplifier circuits. The Crossover circuit is responsible for separating the audio input into 3 different frequencies. Hence the Crossover circuit is of great importance as it provides output signal to the speakers as well as to the Volume Unit Meter. The Volume Unit Meter (VUM) is in charge of mapping the voltages to corresponding 10 LED’s. As seen in Figure 3.19. The power to all these circuits are obtained from the Power supply driver. Thus, the Speaker control receiver, receives the control signals from the transmitter located at the Table and accordingly functions.
The Smart System as understood from the earlier sections is a combined functioning of the various sections like the extension, the sound system and the table. The Table is the control head for the smart system and thus it also acts as a display for the user. This display table is running on Windows 10 Operating System. Which has a software developed for AUTES named ‘AUTES’ shown in figure 4.1. This software uses a kernel that provides the user with a control panel. The kernel will be waiting to receive inputs from the user, when data is entered the touch panel will convert the touch to a sensible logic control and send it to the mini pc for processing. The data is then sent to the Arduino A2560 for data distribution. Here the distribution paths lead to the extension transmitter, the speaker transmitter and the table base control transmitter. At each of these sections there is a receiver whose control frequencies are different form one another.
The data that the transmitter transmits travels at that frequency and send it to the respective section. As the extension takes a maximum of four controls. Each of these controls the plug points and its corresponding side switch. The power to the extension box is not controlled. Initially the smart box will blink to show connection establishment and later blink for acknowledgment of received control signals. Thus, the software ‘AUTES’ consists of a section where the extension control switches are designed and placed. Similarly, the sound system has five control parameters. First being the power supply, next the audio input and the last three being controls for the RGB LED lights. The sound system is designed in such a pattern that the controls for the power and the lights are sent and received using NRF module while the audio is sent using an audio transmitter. This transmitter uses 107.9 MHz as the operating frequency.
Thus, the AUTES kernel has four sections designed to control the power and intensity of the LED lights. As the communication between the table and the extension and the speaker, has been established, the table also communicates with the lower section, the table base. The table base requires four controls. They are the power, delay and the actuator controls. As per the requirement, the software also consists of one table control section which has controls for the base of the table. The first is a toggle switch while the other two are push buttons. They control the modes of the table. As the user enters the commands using the kernel the, table base will change its position accordingly.
Scope for Future work:
In today’s era, people need some free time, some ease in work and some relaxation. Keeping these basic needs in mind the smart system was created. The system offers one unique feature. The AUTES system is an in-built system that comes attached within the room. Being a smart system, it has provisions for adding components and gadgets as per the user’s choice. The table top uses OS Windows 10, which is highly compatible with other such similar or equivalently higher-grade software. This provides the user and option to expand the AUTES memory and develop newer software’s according to needs. The 2.1 surround sound system is already pre-designed with three speakers, but a designed set of additional drivers can be added to the sound system.
AUTES is the application of wireless communication with implementation of smart portable technology which includes the Smart extension box, 2.1 surround sound system and a touch enabled table. This smart table runs on latest OS providing the means to control the extension box and the sound system. Smart extension box proves helpful when it comes to use of electric gadgets and appliances when they are connected far away. As it is wireless it provides ease and convenience of use. It gives freedom to control all the rooms in the house using the side connecting switches if connected to the main MCB board. The objective of playing audio tracts wirelessly using audio transmitter receiver module at a distance of 25-30m within a house is achieved using 2.1sound system. One can place it anywhere he wants and control it using the table. The touch enabled table controls it providing comfort and ease of operation. AUTES as a whole overcomes utility cost by saving energy. It has larger compatibility range and can be installed/uninstalled easily. Presentation mode and table mode has been introduced with the help of linear actuator, which increases AUTESs application ranges from home to museums, offices, Conference halls etc.
