If you are in Rajasthan and looking to pursue a Basic School Teaching Course (BSTC), then you should take up this State-level Diploma Entrance Exam. The BSTC Exam is now called the Rajasthan Pre D.El.Ed. Examination.
What is BSTC?
The full form of BSTC is Basic School Teaching Course. BSTC Exam is conducted by Rajasthan Council of Secondary Education for admission of candidates to the Pre D.El.Ed course. Candidates those looking forward to taking admission in Pre D.El.Ed course for the year 2020 can apply for the exam from June 15, 2020.

Mental Ability: Reasoning, Analogy, Discrimination, Relationship, Analysis, and Logical Thinking. मानसिक क्षमता:- तर्क, सादृश्य, भेदभाव, संबंध, विश्लेषण और तार्किक सोच
General Awareness of Rajasthan: Historical Aspect, Political Aspect, Art, Culture and Literature Aspect, Economic Aspect, Geographical Aspect, Folk Life, Social Aspect, and Tourism Aspect of the state of Rajasthan. राजस्थान के सामान्य जागरूकता:- ऐतिहासिक पहलू, राजनीतिक पहलू, कला, संस्कृति और साहित्य पहलू, आर्थिक पहलू, भौगोलिक पहलू, लोक जीवन, सामाजिक पहलू और राजस्थान राज्य का पर्यटन पहलू।
Teaching Aptitude: Teaching-learning, Leadership Quality, Creativity, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation, Communication Skills, Professional Attitude, and Social Sensitivity. शिक्षण योग्यता:- शिक्षण-शिक्षण, नेतृत्व की गुणवत्ता, रचनात्मकता, निरंतर और व्यापक मूल्यांकन, संचार कौशल, व्यावसायिक दृष्टिकोण और सामाजिक संवेदनशीलता।
Language Ability, candidates will have to attempt questions from English, Hindi or Sanskrit. For English, applicants need to prepare Comprehension, Spotting Errors, Narration, Prepositions, Articles, Connectives, Correction of Sentences, Kind of Sentences, Sentence Completion, Tense, Vocabulary, Synonym, Antonym, One Word Substitution, and Spelling Errors.
BSTC 2020 Eligibility
Candidates who are the citizens of India are eligible to apply for Rajasthan BSTC. Candidates who hold the Domicile Certificate for the state of Rajasthan can also apply.
Educational Qualification
In order to be eligible for BSTC, candidates need to qualify their HSC from Rajasthan Education Board or the equivalent exam which is recognized by ICSE/CBSE. The applying candidates belonging to General/OBC category should have secured 50% marks and SC/ST candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
Age Limit
Students applying for BSTC shall be less than 28 years of age. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories will be provided 5 years of age relaxation.
BSTC 2020 Exam Pattern
BSTC Exam will be conducted offline i.e. pen and paper mode. The question paper will be consisting of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ). Each question correctly answered will fetch the candidate 3 marks and there will be no negative marking for the wrongly attempted answers. Candidates will be given 200 questions to attempt which will be comprising a total of 600 marks.
Candidates have an option to opt for General (English + Hindi) or Sanskrit (English + Sanskrit) teaching course. For the General course test, the BSTC exam pattern is given below:
