https //hmis.nhp.gov.in login : Health Management Information System (HMIS) is a Government to Government (G2G) web-based Monitoring Information System that has been put in place by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India to monitor the National Health Mission and other Health programmes and provide key inputs for policy formulation and appropriate programme interventions.

HMIS has been utilised in Grading of Health Facilities, identifications of aspirational districts, review of State Programme Implementation Plan (PIPs), etc. The analytical reports generated through HMIS also provides gap analysis and evidence based course correction.

HMIS (IHIP) Login Process — First time user

Login Screen

• Clicking “Sign In” redirects to login screen - https://ihipnhp.gov.in/hmis/#!/Iogin

• Enter ‘Username ‘Password’ & ‘CAPTCHA’ and click ‘Sign In’

On First time Login of user

• On first time login for that particular user the following screen will be displayed -

Step 1: Update Facility Details (request by user)

• Click on the “Update your Facility Details” as shown by arrow

• On clicking “Update your Facility Details” the following screen will be displayed—

• Enter details to be updated and click “Yes”. (All the mandatory field marked by * need to be filled to make ‘Yes’ button functional)

• A confirmation pop-up window will appear

• Clicking “Yes” will send the details entered for approval to the respective District Admin and the State Admin

• District Admin/State Admin approval for requested ‘Health Facility Update’ is required for this facility user to proceed further

• Message “Please wait for the approval of heafth facility update” will appear on the screen

• Until District Admin/State Admin approve the ‘Health Facility Update Request’ the same screen will be shown up on login by this user, asking him/her to wait for the approval of health facility update

Step 2: Approval of Request by District Admin I State Admin

• To approve a ‘Health Facility Update Request’ District Admin I State Admin need to login through his/her account

• Under menu ‘Administration admin has to click on ‘List of Health Facility Request’

• Under ‘Update Facility Request List’ Admin can see all the requests

• Requests pending for action will be shown as ‘Status’ — ‘Pending’

• By clicking ‘View’ button admin can see the details of perticular request

• To ‘Approve’ / ‘Reject’ a reque5t admin has to click the appropriate button

• Once approved by admin the ‘Status’ of the request will change from ‘Pending’ to ‘Approved’

Step 3: Update Your Profile (by user)

• Once the Facility update request is approved by District/State Admin, the health facility user on login gets the following screen

. Now user has to update his/her profile to start using portal

Step 4: Start using HMIS

• After user profile gets successfully updated, following web page will be displayed with full functionalities.

• Now user can start data entry or any other function.

• On Subsequent Login, the user has to follow the same process of clicking Portal URL: https://ihip.nhp.gov.in/hmis/#!/ and “sign in” tab on the appearing screen

National Health Mission (NHM) is a flagship programme of the Government of India to address the health needs of under-served ruralareas and health concerns of the urban poor population. The thrust of the mission is on establishing a fully functional, community owned, decentralized, rigorous monitoring & evaluation against standards, improving health delivery system by innovations, flexible financing andinterventions with inter-sectoral convergence at all levels.

NHM has two sub missions under it. National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) launched on 5 April 2005, tasked with addressing the health needs of ruralareas. National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), launched in 2013 as a Sub-mission of an overarching National Health Mission, with National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) being the other Sub-mission of National Health Mission.

The Mission aims to raise public spending on the health sector to 2.5 % of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), by undertaking architectural correction of the health system and promote policies that strengthen public health management and service delivery in the country.

Focus of NHM is on institutional integration within the fragmented health sector to provide a focus on outcomes, measured against Indian Public Health Standards for all health facilities; integration of vertical Health & Family Welfare Programmes and optimal utilization of funds and infrastructure and strengthening delivery of primary healthcare aiming to reduce disease burden, Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), Neo Natal Mortality Rate (NMR), Under 5 Mortality Rate (U5MR), Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR).

To monitor the performance and quality of the health services being provided under the NHM, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been committed to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation systems, through Performance, Monitoring, Conducting adhoc surveys, supportive supervision, quality assurance, etc.
