To activate your new EBT Card Pin, login to www.ebtEDGE.com and use the Cardholder Portal or You can call the number on the back of your card (1-866-545-6502).

Your first Mountain State EBT card will arrive in the mail 5-10 days after you order it once you have been authorised for SNAP or WV WORKS benefits. In order to utilise your card after receiving it, you must first activate it. It won’t take you more than a few minutes to activate your card.

There are two ways you can activate your first WV EBT card.

1. You can call the number on the back of your card (1-866-545-6502)

2. You can go to www.ebtEDGE.com and use the Cardholder Portal

To activate your card by calling the number on the back:

1. Dial 1-866-545-6502 and listen to the automated system

2. Press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish

3. Enter your 16- digit card number on the front of your card

4. Enter your Date of Birth. The format is mm/dd/yy

5. Enter your Social Security Number when prompted

6. Select 4 numbers as your Personal Identification Number (PIN) when prompted.

7. When prompted, re-enter the numbers you selected as your PIN.

The PIN Select page allows you to select a personal identification number (PIN) if the card is new.

To access the PIN select page:

1.      Enter your 16 digit EBT Card number in the EBT Card # field in the Cardholder Log In page.

2.      Click the Login button. The PIN Select page displays.

To activate your card your card by using the Cardholder Portal:

1. Go to www.ebtEDGE.com.
2. In the left-hand column, click on “Cardholder Login”.
3. Enter your 16-digit card number.  Click the Login button.
4. Click the “PIN Select” which is found in the green stripe.
5. Enter your Date of Birth.   The format is mm/dd/yy. Use the tab key to move between fields.
6. Enter your Social Security Number.
7. Select 4 numbers as your PIN.
8. Re-enter the 4 numbers you selected for your PIN.
9. Click on “Update”.
