Healthy Groceries

Service Dog Support

FAQs
How do I check my OTC card balance?
Check your balance online anytime at mybenefitscenter.com. Once on the site, you will be asked to enter your 19-digit OTC Card number.
Can I buy soap and shampoo with my OTC card?
OTC items are not eligible for reimbursement if they are normally used for general health, are not used to treat a medical condition (e.g. toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, shampoo) or are cosmetic in nature (e.g. teeth whitening products, wrinkle reducers). See additional examples in the OTC Chart.
How do I use benefits card?
The Benefit Card is accepted only at certain merchants. This includes physician offices, hospitals, dental offices, pharmacies (including mail order), hearing/vision care provides, etc. As you incur healthcare expenses, you present your card for payment.
What foods can I buy with my Healthy Benefits card?
Many Benefit cards cover groceries such as fruits and vegetables, or other nutritious foods like fish, poultry, meat, and seafood; most dairy products; and soups and salad kits.
Can I withdraw money from my OTC card?
OTC withdrawals are available up to the daily withdrawal authorization limits, provided the Available Balance in your account is greater than or equal to the cash withdrawal amount requested.
Can I use my benefit wallet card at an ATM?
You will need to set up a PIN if you want to use your card to withdraw HSA funds or do a balance inquiry at an ATM. Additionally, if you give a card with your name on it to your spouse or child, they can use the PIN instead of a signature to make acceptable purchases by selecting “debit” at the payment terminal.
How do I activate my benefit pay?
- Download the Benefit Pay app in Google Play / App Store.
- Follow the instructions to setup Benefit Pay on your phone.
- Use the templates provided to submit a written application to BDB to activate your account on Benefit pay.
