To activate your BCBSRI Flex Card, login into bcbsri.nationsbenefits.com/activate and enter the 16 digit card number and expiration date of your Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card.
Use one card that holds two buckets of money to pay for everyday, over-the-counter (OTC) health products and for the services you need most.
To activate your card, call 1-866-304-2138 (TTY: 711).
NOTE: If you already had an OTC card, you can just keep using it for both buckets of money.

Once you receive and activate your card, you can start using it online through the MyBenefits portal and the MyBenefits app and/or in person at a participating retail location near you. When at a retail location, simply swipe your card for payment.
1. Visit bcbsri.nationsbenefits.com/activate or call 1-866-304-2138 (TTY: 711).
2. Enter the 16 digit card number and expiration date of your Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card.
3. Your 12-digit member ID contains 2 letters and 10 numbers.
4. Enter your Date of Birth and Last Name provided to your health plan during enrollment.
5. Click on Activate Card Button to activate your card.

In-person
You can use the debit card at the following national retail stores:

You also can download the NationsOTC app* and scan products in stores to determine eligibility and check your card balance.
Online
Log in to nationsotc.com/BCBSRI with your 16-digit card number. Select products, add to basket, and checkout. Items will be shipped to you at no cost.
Phone
Call 1-866-304-2138 to order products over the phone. Items will be shipped to you at no cost.
Important tips and guidelines
- The debit card is tied to a BCBSRI-funded account (not your bank account), and it cannot be used for anything except approved OTC items and services.
- You will receive your online order within 2-5 business days
- Unused benefits do not roll over to the next benefit period. You cannot exceed your quarterly benefit amount
- Get more from your OTC benefit and shop around. Prices, brands, and items vary from store to store. Purchases made online or by phone using the catalog may also be different than what you find in stores
