Activate Santander Credit Card : Login Activate New Card| Santander UK

You can check your eligibility before you apply, and it won’t affect your credit score. Once you’re happy with the card you’ve picked, you can apply online.

You can apply for a credit card if you’re 18 or over and live in the UK permanently, you have a guaranteed annual income of £7,500 or more (before tax), you have a good credit record and you haven’t been declared bankrupt, had a CCJ or an IVA within the last 6 years. All credit is subject to status and credit checks.

Activate Santander Credit Card :

You can use your new debit card right away, though you will need to make a purchase using chip and PIN or use a cash machine so contactless payments can start working.

Forgotten your PIN? 

You can view it in the mobile app. Go to ‘More’, click ‘Cards’, then ‘View PIN’.

You can easily activate your new credit card in Online Banking.

  • Log on to Online Banking
  • Click the ‘My details & settings’ tab
  • Go to ‘Other services’
  • Scroll down to ‘Credit card services’ and click ‘Activate a new credit card’
  • We’ll then send a One Time Passcode (OTP) to your registered mobile number
  • Enter your OTP to activate your card

If you’re not set up for Online Banking, you can easily register online

You can also quickly activate your credit card in Mobile and Online Banking with our digital assistant Sandi, available 24/7.

In Mobile Banking:

  • log on to Mobile Banking
  • click ‘More’ in the bottom-right corner then ‘Help and contact us’
  • choose ‘Chat with us’
  • ask to activate your new credit card and follow the steps.

In Online Banking:

  • log on to Online Banking 
  • click ‘Chat with us’ on the right-hand side of the screen
  • ask to activate your new credit card and follow the steps.

Additional cardholders will need to activate their card over the phone. Visit our contact us page and click ‘Call now’.

Payments

If you’ve already set up a bill payment on your account, you’ll be able to make payments at our cash machines. Simply insert your card, enter your PIN and follow these steps.

  1. Press ‘Other services’ and then ‘Show more services’.
  2. Choose ‘Pay bills’ and then ‘Pay a bill’.
  3. Choose the bill you want to pay.
  4. Press ‘Confirm’.
  5. Make sure the details of the payment are correct and then press ‘Confirm and pay’.
  6. Choose your receipt option.

Transfers

You can easily transfer money between your Santander accounts at one of our cash machines by following these simple steps.

  1. Insert your card.
  2. Enter your PIN.
  3. Press ‘Transfer’.
  4. Choose the accounts you want to transfer from and to.
  5. Add the amount you want to transfer.
  6. Choose your receipt option.
