Now you can withdraw PF money from ATM, UPI, EPFO ​​3.0 facility will be launched in June. This is important news for the employees of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). EPFO ​​is soon going to launch its new and advanced service EPFO ​​3.0.

As of May 31, 2025, the ability to withdraw PF money directly from an ATM is not yet fully implemented but is expected to be launched very soon under “EPFO 3.0.”

Several reports indicate that the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is planning to roll out “EPFO 3.0” in June 2025, which will allow subscribers to withdraw PF funds instantly via UPI and ATMs.

Here’s what the upcoming system is expected to involve for ATM withdrawals:

  • EPFO Card: It’s anticipated that EPFO will issue a special “EPFO card” that will function like a regular ATM card.
  • ATM Access: You’ll be able to use this card at EPFO-enabled ATMs.
  • UAN and OTP Verification: The process will likely involve linking your Universal Account Number (UAN) to your bank account, entering your UAN and the desired withdrawal amount at the ATM, and then verifying your identity through an OTP (One-Time Password) received on your registered mobile number.
  • Instant Cash: Upon successful verification, the ATM will dispense the requested amount.
  • Withdrawal Limits: There are likely to be capping on withdrawals, possibly allowing withdrawals of up to 50% of the total deposits, or up to Rs 1 lakh instantly. These limits are meant to ensure retirement funds are preserved while providing liquidity for emergencies.

Currently, withdrawing PF funds involves submitting online claims through the UAN Member Portal or offline applications via Composite Claim Forms. This process typically takes several days or even weeks for approval and disbursement.

Important Note: Since the ATM withdrawal facility is a new feature under EPFO 3.0 and is just rolling out, it’s crucial to stay updated with official announcements from the EPFO. They will provide precise details on how to use the ATM facility, eligible ATMs, any specific cards required, and withdrawal limits once the system is fully operational.
