💻 How to Donate Online

  1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to flagday.tn.gov.in.

  2. Select Contribution Method:

    • Referral Officer: If you were referred by an officer, select “Yes” and enter their details.

    • Direct to Government: If donating directly without a referral, select “No”.

  3. Enter Donation Amount: Specify the amount you wish to donate.

  4. Agree to Terms and Conditions: Review and accept the terms to proceed.

  5. Make Payment: Choose your preferred payment method and complete the transaction.

  6. Receipt: After successful payment, a receipt will be generated. Ensure to save or print this for your records.

Note: If you don’t receive a success receipt immediately, please wait for 24 hours before checking the transaction status. For failed transactions, you can check the status after 24 hours using the “Check Status” menu.

🏛️ About the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund

Established in 1949, the Armed Forces Flag Day is observed annually on December 7 to honor the sacrifices of India’s armed forces personnel. The funds collected are utilized for:

  • Rehabilitation of Battle Casualties: Providing medical and financial support to injured soldiers.

  • Welfare of Serving Personnel and Their Families: Ensuring the well-being of active-duty soldiers and their dependents.

  • Resettlement and Welfare of Ex-Servicemen and Their Families: Assisting veterans in transitioning to civilian life and supporting their families.

Tamil Nadu has consistently been a leader in the country for its Armed Forces Flag Day Fund collections. In 2024, the state collected a record-breaking ₹67.54 crore, with Chennai contributing ₹7.7 crore, the highest among districts .
