Activity and Function of the Department
Implementation and running of Khadya Sathi scheme for PDS including procurement of paddy, receipt of CMR, issuance of Ration Cards and distribution of food grains to the beneficiaries.
Citizen services offered by the Department
Services relating to application for new Ration Cards, surrender of existing ration cards, etc. are provided by the A.I./S.I. (F&S) from the Block Inspector Offices under the respective BDOs and Municipality offices for MR Area. The same is provided from the Rationing Offices for SR Area.
