PMKVY Job Roles - IT or ITeS Sector Skill Council

1. NASSCOM the premier Trade Body and Chamber of Commerce for the IT-ITeS industry has launched a new initiative to scale quality capacity and increase the groundswell of talent for this industry.

2. NASSCOM has set up the IT-ITES Sector Skills Council NASSCOM (SSC NASSCOM) under the aegis of the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC). SSC NASSCOM an integral part of NASSCOM is recognised as the Skills Standards setting body under GOI.

3. The key objective of SSC NASSCOM is to scale quality capacity, to have a ready deployable talent pool (certified Job Ready) with the least amount of intervention from industry. To start with, our focus will be on jobs at the Entry level.




4. In this endeavour, unique Job Roles / Qualification Packs at Entry; Middle and Leadership levels have been identified which require different levels of educational qualifications.

Courses Offered for IT or ITeS Sector Skill Council


Associate-Customer Care (Non-Voice) Level 5

Role Description: Individuals at this job are responsible for resolving queries and customer cases over web-chat or email.


Collections Executive Level 4

Role Description: Manage payment collections from customers and solving customer enquiries.


CRM Domestic Non-Voice Level 4

Role Description: Individuals at this job are responsible for resolving queries and customer cases over web-chat or email.


CRM Domestic Voice Level 4

Role Description: Managing and resolving client queries / issues primarily through telephonic calls.


Domestic Bio-metric Data Operator Level 4

Role Description: Manage proper capture and enrollment details of biometric data of customers and maintain biometric equipment.


Domestic Data Entry Operator Level 4

Role Description: Maintain proper entry of required data of customers through use of various data entry softwares and techniques.



Domestic IT Helpdesk Attendant Level 4

Role Description: Managing and resolving client queries / issues primarily through telephonic calls.


Engineer Trainee Level 7

Role Description: Individuals at this job support engineering analysis activities such as engineering analysis, hardware and software development, research, testing etc.


Junior Software Developer Level 4

Role Description: Individuals in this job are assigned one of the many entry level roles in the software industry including support and help desk, testing, user interaction design, maintenance, enhancement, development and documentation. They are responsible for assisting in performing the key activities and tasks involved in the assigned role.
