Yes, YouTube TV has raised its subscription price. Starting on January 13, 2025, the base plan will cost $82.99 per month, up from the current $72.99.

The price of YouTube TV is going up again.

Customers have been notified via email of the impending price hike for YouTube TV, which will boost the monthly fee from $72.99 to $82.99. Current customers will see the new fee take effect on January 13, but new customers can start paying it as of today, December 12. That is to say, after the last month at $73, there will be a $10 increase.

Why the Price Increase?

YouTube TV cites “the rising cost of content and the investments we make in the quality of our service” as the main reasons for the price hike. In simpler terms, the cost of obtaining the rights to show the channels offered on YouTube TV has increased, and the company is passing this cost on to its users. Interestingly, a Verizon ad prematurely leaked the price increase before the official announcement.
