Home Sample Test Process (PCR & Antibody)

STEP 1: Register your details online

STEP 2: Your kit will be posted within 1-2 working days and contains everything you need to do your test at home

STEP 3: Send your test back on the day that you have taken it, using our prepaid mailer

STEP 4: Once your sample has arrived at the lab, it takes 1-2 working days to be processed

STEP 5: Once the lab has processed your sample, results become available on our online portal

IMMUNITY TRACKER

Test purpose:
Understand if you have developed protective antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 as a result of vaccination or natural infection

Test target:
The test looks for IgG antibodies to the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2

Sample type:
Finger-prick blood test performed at home (self-test)

Advantages:
– Provides you with a standardised count of antibodies per u/l
– Valid 14 days post onset of symptoms
– Cost effective test for previous exposure to SARS-CoV-2 and vaccine response check

Test quality:
>98.8% sensitivity and >99.98% specificity, CE marked

HOME TOTAL ANTIBODY TEST

Test purpose:
Understanding who has been exposed to SARS-CoV-2
Survey tool to assess risk for you and your family, and in your workforce

Test target:
Test targets IgG and IgM antibodies to the nucleocapsid protein of SARS-CoV-2, produced over the course of natural infections

Sample type:
Self-administered finger-prick blood sample carried out at home, and sent to a lab for processing

Advantages:
– Provides you with a yes/no answer to whether you have had COVID-19
– Valid 14 days post onset of symptoms
– Cost effective test for previous exposure to SARS-CoV-2

Test quality:
>99.8% specificity and 99.5% sensitivity, CE marked for capillary blood

RT PCR TEST

Test purpose:
Test for current infection of COVID-19 for symptomatic individuals
Triggers NHS Track and Trace process

Sample type:
Self-administered “at home/office” saliva sample

Advantages:
– Non invasive sampling method, avoiding discomfort of the swab
– Self-administered, leading to reduced risk for colleagues and healthcare workers

Accuracy: Limit of detection of 1×10^0
