How to Log In

  1. Click the link above to open the homepage.

  2. Select the “Manage My Account or Login” button.

  3. Enter your User ID and Password.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Forgot User ID or Password: On the login screen, click the “Forgot User ID” or “Forgot Password” links. You may need to verify your identity using your Social Security Number (SSN), Date of Birth, or Client ID.

  • Create a New Account: If you have benefits (like SNAP, Medicaid, or TANF) but no online account, click “Create an Account” on the homepage. You will need your Client ID to link your case.

  • Technical Help Desk: If the website is not working or you are locked out, call the Georgia Gateway Help Desk at: 1-877-423-4746

Important Note:

The system sometimes goes offline for maintenance on weekends. If you cannot access the page, try again during business hours (Monday–Friday).

Main Benefits Available

Through the Georgia Gateway portal, you can apply for and manage several state assistance programs.

Here is a breakdown of the main benefits available, what they provide, and generally who qualifies:

1. SNAP (Food Stamps)

  • What you get: A monthly allowance on an EBT card (like a debit card) to buy groceries.

  • Who it is for: Individuals and families with limited income and resources.

    • Note: You generally must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident, though some non-citizens may qualify.

2. Medicaid & PeachCare for Kids

  • What you get: Free or low-cost health insurance to cover doctor visits, hospital stays, prescriptions, and more.

  • Who it is for:

    • Medicaid: Low-income adults, pregnant women, elderly (65+), people with disabilities, and families.

    • PeachCare for Kids: Uninsured children (up to age 19) in families that earn too much for regular Medicaid but cannot afford private insurance.

    • Georgia Pathways: A newer program offering Medicaid to low-income adults (ages 19–64) who work, volunteer, or train for at least 80 hours a month.

3. TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)

  • What you get: Monthly cash assistance to help pay for basic needs like housing, utilities, and clothing.

  • Who it is for: Low-income families with children (under 18).

    • Note: This program usually requires you to participate in work activities or job training.

4. CAPS (Childcare and Parent Services)

  • What you get: Help paying for childcare costs so you can work or go to school.

  • Who it is for: Low-income families with children (under age 13, or up to 18 if the child has special needs). You typically must be working or attending school/training to qualify.

5. WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)

  • What you get: Healthy food (milk, cheese, cereal, formula), nutrition education, and breastfeeding support.

  • Who it is for: Pregnant women, new mothers, and children up to age 5 who are at “nutritional risk” and meet income guidelines.

How to Find Out if You Qualify

You don’t have to guess. The website has a pre-screening tool.

  1. Go to the Gateway Homepage.

  2. Click on “Apply for Benefits.”

  3. The system will ask you questions about your household size, income, and expenses to tell you exactly which programs you might be eligible for.
