
To activate your Max subscription through Foxtel, Press the Home button on your Foxtel remote. From the Home screen, scroll to and select Max. You’ll be directed to foxtel.com.au/setupmax to complete the activation process.
✅ Step 1: Ensure Eligibility
Max is included at no extra cost for eligible Foxtel customers with an iQ3, iQ4, or iQ5 set-top box connected to the internet. If you have an iQ2 or earlier model, you’ll need to contact Foxtel to upgrade your equipment.
📺 Step 2: Activate Max on Your Foxtel iQ Box
Navigate to the Home Screen: Press the Home button on your Foxtel remote.
Select Max: From the Home screen, scroll to and select Max.
Begin Setup: Choose Set up your access to unlock more Max.
Scan the QR Code: A QR code will appear on your TV screen. Use your smartphone or tablet to scan this code.
Follow On-Screen Instructions: You’ll be directed to foxtel.com.au/setupmax to complete the activation process.
🧾 Step 3: Create or Link Your Max Account
New Subscribers:
On the Max activation page, enter your email address.
Create a password and complete the registration form.
Submit the form to create your Max account.
Existing Subscribers:
If you already have a Max account, sign in using your existing credentials.
You’ll receive a one-time code via email. Enter this code to link your new Foxtel subscription to your existing Max account.

📱 Step 4: Start Streaming
Once activated, you can access Max directly through the Max app on your Foxtel iQ box. Enjoy a wide range of content, including HBO, Warner Bros., Discovery, and more.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Max Activation on Foxtel
1. The QR Code Isn’t Working
Try this: Open a browser manually and go to www.foxtel.com.au/setupmax.
Use another device: Some phones struggle with scanning codes. Try a different phone or tablet.
Clear camera lens: Make sure your camera is clean and focus is clear.
2. Can’t Access the Website
Check your internet connection: Ensure both your phone/computer and Foxtel box are online.
Try a different browser: Use Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
Disable VPN or ad blockers: These may prevent the site from loading properly.
3. Foxtel Box Not Showing Max Option
Make sure your box is:
An iQ3, iQ4, or iQ5 model.
Connected to the internet.
Running the latest software: Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Software Update.
4. Didn’t Receive Verification Email or Code
Check spam/junk folder in your inbox.
Resend the code on the Max setup page.
Make sure you entered the correct email address without typos.
5. Error Linking Max Account
You can’t link multiple Foxtel accounts to the same Max email.
If you already have a standalone Max subscription, try logging in with those credentials on the Max app, then enter the code provided during activation.
6. App Not Working on Foxtel Box
Restart your Foxtel iQ box: Unplug it from power for 30 seconds and plug back in.
Refresh apps: Some updates require a refresh. Go to Home > Settings > Advanced Settings > Refresh Apps.
