The Louisiana CAFE system has split into two separate portals depending on which benefit you are trying to access. Additionally, there have been major recent changes to who manages these programs (the “One Door” transition).
Here are the correct login links and instructions.
1. For SNAP (Food Stamps), FITAP, & Child Support
Even though these programs moved to the Department of Health (LDH) on Oct 1, 2025, the login portal remains the same for now.
Login URL: https://cafe-cp.dcfs.la.gov/selfservice/
Use this for: Checking SNAP balance, renewing benefits (redetermination), Child Support enforcement, and FITAP.
Important Status Update (Nov 2025): If you heard reports about a government shutdown affecting November SNAP benefits, the state announced in late October that benefits are continuing through November thanks to an emergency order and released federal funds.
2. For Child Care Assistance (CCAP)
If you are applying for or checking status on Child Care Assistance, you must use the Department of Education’s portal. The login looks similar but is separate.
Use this for: CCAP applications and payments only.

Troubleshooting & “One Door” Changes
If you are confused by new logos or names (like “Louisiana Works” or “Dept of Health”), this is due to the One Door Initiative that started October 1, 2025:
SNAP/FITAP is now managed by the Louisiana Dept of Health (LDH).
Job Training (SNAP E&T) is now managed by Louisiana Works.
If you cannot log in:
Reset Password: Use the “Forgot Password” link on the login page.
Customer Service (LAHelpU): Call 1-888-524-3578 (1-888-LAHELPU).
Tip: Wait times may be longer due to the recent system changes.
Unlock Account: If your account is locked, you must wait 15-20 minutes before trying again. Do not keep clicking or it will reset the timer.
