Here are the solutions for the “Not Enough Memory” error and the current status of the WoW Classic servers. On the Character Select screen (or Login screen), go to Menu > System > Graphics.
Part 1: Fix for “Not Enough Memory” Error
This is a known issue, often caused by a conflict with DirectX 12 or corrupted addon data, rather than your PC actually running out of RAM.
Try these steps in order:
Switch to DirectX 11 (Most Likely Fix)
On the Character Select screen (or Login screen), go to Menu > System > Graphics.
Find Graphics API and change it from
DirectX 12toDirectX 11.Restart the game.
Reset Game Files (UI/Addons)
Close the game completely.
Go to your World of Warcraft installation folder (usually
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_classic_).Rename the following three folders (e.g., add
.oldto the end):Cache$\rightarrow$Cache.oldInterface$\rightarrow$Interface.oldWTF$\rightarrow$WTF.old
Relaunch the game. (This resets your UI; if it works, one of your addons was the cause).
Scan and Repair
Open the Battle.net desktop app.
Click the cogwheel icon next to the Play button.
Select Scan and Repair.
