2. WoW Classic Server Shutdown Status (Dec 11, 2025)

If you are currently unable to login, it is likely due to Weekly Scheduled Maintenance rather than a permanent shutdown.

Current Maintenance Schedule:

• Americas (US/OCE): Maintenance is scheduled for today, Thursday, December 11, from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM PST.

  • Note for India (IST): This is 8:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST tonight.

• Europe (EU): Maintenance was completed yesterday (Wednesday). Servers should be online.

“Shutdown” vs. “World Server Down”:

• If you see “World Server is Down”: This is often a specific error affecting just your realm or a specific zone (like an instance server crashing). It does not mean the entire game is shutting down.

  • Fix: Try logging into a different character or check the Realm Status page to see if your specific server is marked “Offline.”

• Permanent Shutdowns: There are no plans to permanently shut down WoW Classic Era or Season of Discovery servers at this time.
