KS Viswanathan, CEO of CSK, commented on Curran’s injury “A lower back injury will keep Curran out for the remainder of the season, which is a real loss for the team. As a family, we are praying for his speedy recovery and know that he will be stronger as a result. The injury has been reported to BCCI.”

Curran, 23, has represented England in 24 Tests, 11 One-Day Internationals, and 16 Twenty20 Internationals. Prior to the IPL, he played for England in a Test match against India in England.
