According to the Year 11 roadmap revealed at the Six Invitational last month, Ranked 3.0 is scheduled to release in Year 11 Season 2, which is expected to launch in late May or early June 2026.
Since Operation Silent Hunt (Y11S1) just launched today, we are currently in the final full season of Ranked 2.0.
What to Expect in Ranked 3.0
The upcoming overhaul is a direct response to the community’s frustration with “Hidden MMR.” Key changes include:
-
Removal of Hidden MMR: The “Rank” you see on your screen will finally represent your actual skill level. There will no longer be a behind-the-scenes rating that differs from your visual rank.
-
Return of Placement Matches: You will once again have to play a set of placement matches at the start of each season to determine your starting position.
-
New “Legend” Division: A new competitive tier called the Legend Division will be introduced above Champion (starting in Season 3) to give the top 0.1% of players something new to grind for.
-
Solo-Queue Only Playlist: There are strong indications of a dedicated solo-queue playlist to prevent solo players from being matched against coordinated 5-stacks.
