This year’s Black Friday sales are going to be a little different. Since the beginning of the year, retailers have tried to extend the holiday promotional season and urge customers to make purchases earlier and earlier.

During the global supply chain crisis of 2021, Walmart and other retailers are going considerably further than usual in their efforts to keep up with demand and keep costs down. In 2021, Walmart plans to roll out its Black Friday promotions throughout the month of November.

Online retailers Amazon and Target also launched early Black Friday bargains in early October, and the latter began its big Daily Deals sale on Oct. 10.
