VSee Box Stuck On Receiving Data | Steps to Solve the issue

When your VSee Box is stuck on a “Receiving Data” screen (usually at 0% or 100%), it typically means the app has corrupted cache files or is failing to handshake with the server.

Here are the fixes, ranked by what works most often for this specific device.

1. The “Clear Data” Fix (Most Likely Solution)

The “Heat Live” or “Heat Ultra” apps often get stuck if the local data is corrupted. You need to reset the app, not just the box.

  1. Go to the Home Screen of your VSee Box.

  2. Select Settings (usually the gear icon).

  3. Go to Apps -> See all apps.

  4. Find the app that is stuck (e.g., Heat Live, Heat Ultra, or VOD).

  5. Select Clear Data (Click “OK” to confirm). Note: Do not just click “Clear Cache,” you must click “Clear Data.”

  6. Open the app again. It will re-download the channel list from scratch (this may take a minute).

2. Run the “Maintenance” Tool

VSee boxes come with a built-in tool to fix these glitches.

  1. Go to your Apps list.

  2. Look for an app named “Maintenance” or “Cleanup.”

  3. Open it and select “Clear All” or “Process.”

  4. Once finished, restart the box.

3. Change DNS Settings (If it’s a network block)

If clearing data didn’t work, your internet provider might be blocking the server connection.

  1. Go to Settings -> Network & Internet.

  2. Select your connected Wi-Fi (or Ethernet).

  3. Scroll down to IP Settings and change it from DHCP to Static.

  4. Keep the IP address and Gateway the same, but change DNS 1 to 8.8.8.8 and DNS 2 to 8.8.4.4 (Google DNS).

  5. Save and restart the box.

4. Power Cycle Your Router

Sometimes the issue isn’t the box, but a stale connection on your router.

  • Unplug your internet router from the wall.

  • Unplug the VSee Box.

  • Wait 60 seconds.

  • Plug the router back in first and wait for internet lights to return.

  • Plug the VSee Box back in.
