If you are checking your application status for the University of the Free State (UFS) in South Africa for the 2026 academic year, here is how to do it.
1. Online Status Check (Direct Link)
The most reliable way to check your admission status is through the UFS Student Self-Service portal (Oracle PeopleSoft).
Direct Link: https://myapplication.ufs.ac.za (Alternatively, go to www.ufs.ac.za → Students → Student Self-Service)
Steps:
Enter your Student Number (User ID) and Password.
Click Sign In.
Navigate to the Student Services Center or View Application tile.
Look for your specific programme to see the current status (e.g., Admitted, Waitlist, Conditional Admission).
Forgot Password? If you have your student number but forgot the password you created during application, use the UFS Password Self-Service to reset it.
2. Common Status Meaning
ADMT (Admitted): You have been officially offered a place. You usually need to accept the offer online.
COND (Conditional Admission): You are accepted if your final Grade 12 results meet the specific requirements.
WAIT (Waitlist): You qualify, but the programme is full. You will be offered a spot if one opens up.
DENY (Admission Denied): You did not meet the minimum requirements for the chosen programme.
