Accessing UC Flex (the University of Cincinnati’s financial and HR system) requires different steps depending on whether you are on campus or working remotely.
🔑 How to Log In
You can access the portal directly via the UC Flex Login Page.
Username: Use your UC 6+2 (Central Login) credentials.
Password: Use your standard UC network password (the same one for email, Canvas, and Catalyst).
Off-Campus Access: If you are not on the university’s internal network, you must first connect to the AnyConnect VPN. Without the VPN, the login page will likely time out or show an error.
🛠️ Common Login Issues & Fixes
If you are seeing a “Login Failed” or “Server Not Found” error today (March 10, 2026), try these steps:
1. The VPN “Endless Loop”
A common 2026 issue involves being stuck in a loop that returns you to the login page repeatedly.
The Fix: Check if Apple Private Relay (on Mac/iOS) is enabled. If so, disable it, as it interferes with the secure tunnel required for UC Flex.
Duo Mobile: Ensure your Duo 2FA is responding. Sometimes the push notification doesn’t pop up; open the Duo app manually to check for a pending login request.

2. Password Reset
If you’ve forgotten your password or it has expired:
Use the UC Password Self Service (PSS) tool.
Note that changing your password here will update it for all UC services, including your email.
3. ESS “Masked” Data
If you are logged in but can’t view sensitive info (like bank details for direct deposit):
UC Flex now requires you to enter the last four digits of your SSN for specific transactions like changing bank accounts or viewing W-2s.
