The TikTok “Slash & Free” (Slash It) feature often stops working not because of a server outage, but because of strict anti-fraud protections.
If you are seeing errors like “Assistance Failed,” “System Busy,” or “Limit Reached,” here is what is likely happening and how to fix it.
1. Common Error: “Assistance Failed” / “System Busy”
This usually means TikTok has flagged your device or network as “suspicious.” This prevents you from slashing prices for yourself or others.
The Cause:
You and the person helping you are on the same Wi-Fi (IP address).
You are trying to use an “alt” account on the same device.
You have clicked too many links in a short time.
The Fix:
Disconnect from Wi-Fi: Both you and your friend should switch to Mobile Data (4G/5G). This assigns a fresh IP address and often bypasses the error.
Wait 1 Hour: If you spammed clicks, the system soft-bans you. Stop clicking any links for an hour to let it reset.

2. The “Stuck at 99%” Trap
If the price is stuck at $0.01 or a very low number and existing users are no longer slashing the price:
The Reality: This is not a glitch; it is the game mechanics.
The Rule: After a certain point (usually around 90-95%), TikTok stops accepting “Existing Users” to slash the price. You are rigidly required to invite a “New User” (someone who has never downloaded TikTok) or a “Returning User” (someone who hasn’t opened the app in 30+ days) to cut that final $0.01.
3. Feature Won’t Load / Blank Screen
If the Slash & Free page itself isn’t loading, it is likely a cache issue within the TikTok app.
Clear TikTok Cache:
Go to your TikTok Profile > Menu (☰) > Settings and Privacy.
Scroll down to Free up space > Clear Cache.
Note: This won’t delete your drafts or videos.
Update the App:
This feature breaks frequently on older versions. Check the App Store/Play Store for an update.
