The Google Doodle PAC-MAN : Halloween 2025 Edition launched

This interactive Doodle features a special Halloween edition of PAC-MAN, celebrating 45 years of this classic game.

In celebration of Halloween, PAC-MAN is going trick-or-treating! Your mission is to guide him through eight levels, four of which are unique haunted house mazes. 

Pay close attention inside each house, as its design directly reflects the personality of the iconic ghost haunting it. Grab power pellets to turn the tables and chase them yourself! 👻

Halloween 2025 Edition launched

The Google Doodle Pac-Man was first created and released on May 21, 2010, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original Pac-Man game by Namco, which debuted in 1980. It was the first Google Doodle that was directly playable and included sound. The doodle faithfully replicated the classic gameplay where players control Pac-Man to eat pellets in a maze shaped around the Google logo, while avoiding ghosts. It also had features like the original game’s sounds and glitches, and an Easter egg enabling a two-player mode with Ms. Pac-Man. This doodle became widely popular and is considered one of Google’s most successful interactive doodles.

Most recently, Google released a special Halloween 2025 edition of the Pac-Man Doodle celebrating the game’s 45th anniversary. This version features eight levels, including haunted house-themed mazes with designs reflecting the personalities of the iconic ghosts. Instead of the usual power pellets, players collect eyeballs to turn the tables and chase the ghosts.

Pac-Man wears a pixelated purple witch hat, and the game retains the iconic sounds and music but with a spooky Halloween aesthetic. This interactive Halloween Doodle was accessible on the Google homepage for two days around October 29-30, 2025, and remains available in the Google Doodle archive.
