The T-Mobile SIM card contains three difference SIM sizes: standard, micro, and nano. Some phones and devices have an eSIM (embedded SIM card) built right in, so there’s no need to install a SIM card.
An eSIM is part of the device and can’t be removed. Some devices even offer dual SIM capability—one eSIM and one removable SIM—so you can have two phone numbers on one device (for example, a work number and a personal number).
Mobile Hotspot settings
Hotspot network name (SSID) & password
- The hotspot network name (SSID) is the name of the Wi-Fi network you’ll need to connect to.
- The default hotspot network name (SSID) and password can be found inside the back panel of your mobile hotspot by removing the back cover and battery.
- You can change the SSID and password using the WebUI Manager
Turn on / off
Turn on
- Hold the Power button for 3 seconds until all LED indicators illuminate.
- Wait for the Network and Wi-Fi Indicators to come on, one at a time.
- When the Network and Wi-Fi icons light up, the Wi-Fi connection is enabled.
Turn off
- Hold the Power button for 3 seconds until all LED indicators turn off.
- The Network and Wi-Fi connections have been disabled.

Connect to the hotspot
To connect your Wi-Fi enabled device to your hotspot for internet access, follow these steps.
- Make sure your hotspot is turned on.
- Select the Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID).
- Enter the Wi-Fi Password.
- Refer to the Hotspot WebUI Manager or the Quick Start Guide if you need to change your hotspot Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) or Wi-Fi Password.
USB tethering
To connect your Wi-Fi enabled device to the mobile hotspot using a USB-C cable instead of using the Wi-Fi network follow these steps.
- Make sure your mobile hotspot is on and has an active data connection.
- Connect one end of the USB C cable to the hotspot and the other end to your device.
- Your device will detect a network connection via USB automatically.
- Check your connection by visiting a website.
Network & APN
Turn on / off cellular data
- Access the hotspot WebUI Manager.
- Click Settings > Network Settings.
- Click the toggle switch next to Cellular Data to switch on or off.
Turn on / off data roaming
- Access the hotspot WebUI Manager.
- Click Settings > Network Settings.
- Click the toggle switch next to Data Roaming to switch on or off.
Create a new APN (Access Point Name)
Your mobile hotspot comes pre-configured with the access point name (APN) for your network service provider. The mobile hotspot checks the APN to determine the type of network connection to establish.
- Access the hotspot WebUI Manager.
- Click Settings > Network Settings.
- Click the Add button under the APN list. A pop-up box will appear to create new APN.
- Enter the Profile Name of APN.
- Enter the APN.
- Enter the Username and Password.
- Select Authentication Mode: PAP or CHAP.
- Select IPType: IPv4 or IPv4v6.
WPS
Connecting from WebUI Manager
To connect your Wi-Fi device securely using the hotspot WebUI Manager follow these steps.
Push button
- Access the hotspot WebUI Manager.
- Click Settings > WPS.
- Activate the WPS connection on the device you want to connect to the hotspot.
- Click Push WPS Button.
- Wait a moment for a successful Wi-Fi connection.
Device PIN
- Access the hotspot WebUI Manager.
- Click Settings > WPS.
- Activate the WPS connection on the Wi-Fi device you want to connect to the hotspot.
- Enter the device’s 8-digit PIN code in the hotspot WebUI Manager.
- Wait a moment for a successful Wi-Fi connection.

Connecting with WPS button
To connect your Wi-Fi device securely using the WPS button on your hotspot follow these steps.
- Keep the T-Mobile Hotspot in range of the device you want to connect with.
- Turn on your mobile hotspot by pressing and holding the Power button for 3 seconds.
- Open your Wi-Fi network manager on your computer, smartphone, tablet, or other Wi-Fi enabled device.
- Connect your Wi-Fi enabled device to your hotspot by selecting your mobile hotspot’s network name (SSID).
- Press and hold for 5 seconds the WPS button located on the bottom of the mobile hotspot.
- Your Wi-Fi enabled device will start connecting.
