Superbox Live TV Not Working Fix | Superbox Outage

If your Superbox Live TV (“Blue TV”) is not working, it is likely due to a temporary server glitch, an outdated app version, or your internet service provider (ISP) blocking the connection.

Since there are no widespread “total blackout” reports for Superbox as of November 2025, the issue is likely fixable on your end.

Here is the step-by-step troubleshooting guide, ranked from easiest to most advanced.

1. The “Magic” Refresh (Try this first)

Most “Server Error” or buffering issues are caused by a cache glitch.

  • Go to the Home Screen.

  • Open Settings (gear icon) > Apps.

  • Find Blue TV (or Blue TV v2 / v3 depending on your model).

  • Click Clear Cache (Do NOT click “Clear Data” yet, as that deletes your favorites).

  • Restart the box by unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.

2. Check for App Updates

Superbox does not use the Google Play Store for its core apps; it uses its own store. If your app is old, it won’t connect to the 2025 servers.

  • Open the “App Store” or “Blue Store” app on your Superbox dashboard.

  • Look for Blue TV.

  • If you see an “Update” button, click it.

  • Note: If “Blue TV” isn’t working at all, try installing Blue TV v3 or Blue TV v4 from this same store if available; newer models (S5/S6/S7) often shift to newer app versions.

3. The ISP Block (Internet Issue)

If your internet works for YouTube but not for Blue TV, your internet provider might be “throttling” or blocking the IPTV connection (common with AT&T, Verizon, and Xfinity during sports events).

  • Test: If you have a VPN installed, turn it ON and try again.

  • Alternative: Turn off your WiFi and connect the box to your phone’s mobile hotspot temporarily. If Blue TV works on the hotspot, your home internet provider is blocking the service.

4. Fix the “EPG” or “No Data” Error

If the channel list loads but says “No Data” or the time is wrong:

  • Go to Settings > Device Preferences > Date & Time.

  • Make sure “Automatic Date & Time” is turned ON.

  • Why? If your box thinks it is the wrong date/time, the server will reject the connection for security reasons.

5. The “Secret” Reset (For S4, S5, S6 Models)

If nothing else works, you can factory reset the box. There is a “secret” shortcut for this on newer remotes:

  1. Point the remote at the box.

  2. Press the “.” (Period) button and then the “0” (Zero) button repeatedly (some guides say press “0” five times rapidly).

  3. This triggers a factory reset screen.

    • Warning: This wipes everything. You will need to reconnect to WiFi and re-download Blue TV from the App Store afterwards.

⚠️ Important Warning

If you try to Google “Blue TV app,” you might find an app called “Swisscom blue TV.” Do not download this. That is a legitimate streaming service for Switzerland and has nothing to do with Superbox. Only download apps from the “App Store” inside your Superbox.
