Strava has been experiencing a series of performance issues this week, but as of today, March 6, 2026, the main servers are officially operational.
However, many users in India (specifically on networks like Jio and Airtel) are currently reporting “Network Error” messages due to a recent security update.
Here are the most likely fixes for you today:
1. The “Facebook Login” Issue
If you use Facebook to log in, this is likely the cause. Strava officially ended support for Facebook Login starting this month.
The Fix: You must now use the “Forgot Password” option on the login screen using the email address associated with your Facebook account to create a direct Strava password.
2. ISP & DNS Block
Some local ISPs have recently updated their firewalls, which can interfere with Strava’s API calls.
The Fix: Switch from Wi-Fi to Mobile Data (or vice-versa). If it works on mobile data but not Wi-Fi, you need to change your router’s DNS to Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).
3. Clear the App Cache (Android/iPhone)
The 2026 app version has a known bug where the “token” for your login gets stuck.
Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Strava > Storage and tap Clear Cache.
iPhone: Since you can’t clear cache on iOS, you may need to Offload the App (Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Strava > Offload App) and then reinstall it.
4. Check for Third-Party Sync Delays
If the error happens specifically when you try to upload a ride/run from a watch:
Garmin/Polar Users: There was a “Degraded Performance” incident reported yesterday (March 5) regarding Garmin and Polar sync. If your activity isn’t showing up, do not delete it from your watch. Instead, go to the Strava Web Dashboard on a browser and try a manual file upload (.fit or .gpx).

5. VPN Conflict
If you are using a VPN, Strava’s anti-cheat and security filters (Hyperion-based) may be flagging your IP address as suspicious, resulting in a network error.
The Fix: Disable your VPN and restart the app.
