What You Will Need Before You Start

Have these three things ready in front of you:

IMEI/MEID/Serial Number: Found on the red activation card that came with the phone, or by dialing *#06# on your phone’s keypad.
SIM Card Number (ICCID): The long number printed on your SIM card (if you have a physical card).
Service Plan PIN: The code on the back of your service card (scratch off the gray strip). If you haven’t bought a card yet, you can buy a plan with a credit/debit card during the process.

Go to the Activation Page.
Select the option that matches your device:
- New Phone: If you bought a Straight Talk branded phone.
- Bring Your Own Phone (BYOP): If you are using an unlocked phone from another carrier.
Enter your Serial Number/IMEI and Zip Code.
Log in to your existing Straight Talk account or create a new one (this is required to manage your line later).
Enter your Service Plan PIN or purchase a plan.
Follow the final prompts to finalize the activation.
Restart your phone once the website says the activation is complete. It may take a few minutes for the signal to connect.

If the website is giving you errors, you can call the automated activation line:

Text the word ACTIVATE to 611611.
The automated system will text you back a link and guide you through the process on your phone.

No Data/Internet? If you can make calls but cannot browse the web, you may need to update your APN Settings. Text the word APN to 611611 to receive the automatic update file for your phone.
Porting a Number? If you are keeping your old phone number from another carrier (Verizon, AT&T, etc.), the activation can take longer (from 15 minutes up to 24 hours). Do not cancel your old service until your Straight Talk phone is fully working.
eSIM Users: If you are activating an iPhone 14/15/16 or other eSIM-only device, make sure you select “Activate with eSIM” on the website and follow the QR code instructions.
