What is class code and how teachers can change it?

Think of SplashLearn Class Codes as unique codes that serve as a universal username for all students in a class. These codes streamline the login process, granting students easy access to SplashLearn profiles, assignments, and engaging educational games. By sharing the Class Code, passwords, and login instructions, students can quickly log in to their accounts and start their learning journey.

To share the Class Code and login instructions with your students, follow these simple steps:

1. Locate the “Share student logins” option within your dashboard and follow the provided steps.

How can a teacher change the class code? 

Changing the Class Code is a straightforward process within the SplashLearn platform. To generate a new Class Code for your classroom, follow these steps:

1. Expand “Manage Class” on your dashboard and select the “Student roster” tab.

2. Click on the refresh icon to generate a new Class Code for the classroom.

3. Sharing the Class Code with students and login instructions enables them to log in quickly and explore their personalized learning experiences.

Additionally, changing the Class Code when necessary adds an extra layer of security and organization to your classroom.

A step-by-step guide for Teachers to help their students login/sign in

As a teacher, your role in facilitating student access to and utilization of SplashLearn is crucial. You can effectively communicate the login instructions to your students by following these steps:

1. Select “Share student logins” to share the login instructions with your students. You can generate and distribute printed login cards for use in the classroom.
2. Choose your preferred login method and click “Print instructions” to generate the login cards.

Student login using QR Code or Class Code and Password:

1. Students need to visit here and select the “Student” tab.

2. Choose the login method. QR code: Scan the QR code shared by the teacher.  Login via Class code: Otherwise, you can always enter the class code shared by the teacher. 

3. Select the student profile and enter the password shared by the teacher.

Student Login via the “Go To Student Experience” feature:

This feature has two applications:

1. As a teacher, you can log in to their student profiles directly from their dashboard to validate any errors reported by the students or if you want to experience the student dashboard.
2. If students are assigned personal devices (iPad, Chromebook, etc.), you can set up a one-time login on their devices.
3. Please note that the students will remain logged in unless they log out by clicking the “Back button” on their student dashboard. This way, students can logout hassle-free.
