There is a fresh update today! Saber Interactive released Hotfix 12.1 (Update 1.012.001 on consoles) on March 5, 2026. This hotfix follows the massive Techmarine Update (12.0) that launched last week.
While today’s patch is smaller, it focuses on critical balance changes and bug fixes for the new class and weapons.
### Space Marine 2 Hotfix 12.1 Patch Notes (March 5, 2026)
Techmarine Class Adjustments
Replenishing Salvo Perk: Fixed a bug where the cooldown would trigger even if the player already had maximum equipment charges.
Battlefield Repairs Perk (Reworked): The description and effect have been updated. Any squad member now restores 1 additional Armor Segment for every Finisher performed on a Majoris or Extremis enemy.
Inexorable Salvo Perk (Buffed): The effect duration has been extended by 15 seconds after the ability deactivates.
Decapitating Stratagem Perk: Fixed an issue where the ability would restore incorrectly. It now correctly restores only when the ability is fully empty to prevent wasted charges.
Perk Costs: Adjusted the requisition costs for several Techmarine perks that were incorrectly priced.
General Fixes
Stability: Addressed various crash reports related to the new PvE Map: Disruption.
Omnissian Axe: Fixed hit registration issues where the heavy charge attack would occasionally pass through enemies without dealing damage.
Steam Deck: While not explicitly in the notes, players are reporting that this patch attempts to stabilize the performance regressions (FPS drops) introduced in 12.0.

### Reminder: What arrived in Update 12.0 (Last Week)
In case you missed the big content drop from late February, here are the highlights still fresh in the game:
New Class: The Techmarine, featuring a shoulder-mounted Servo-Gun and the ability to repair/activate Tarantula Sentry Guns.
New Weapon: The Omnissian Axe (Exclusive to Techmarine).
New Operation: “Disruption” set in the Hive City of Avarax.
New Gear: Restorative Stimms, which heal a small amount instantly and a large amount of “Contested Health” over time.
Paid DLC: The Chapter Voice Pack 1 (Blood Angels, Space Wolves, and Black Templars), though note that this has received “Very Negative” reviews on Steam due to missing banter and replaced original lines.
