Soundcloud Activate : soundcloud.com/activate: To pair your SoundCloud account in Xbox One
To activate SoundCloud App, login into soundcloud.com/activate and you will be prompted to a page to enter your code. You will need to have the latest version of the SoundCloud app downloaded on your mobile device and already be signed in to your SoundCloud account to pair your account on Xbox.
To activate your SoundCloud account, follow these steps:
- Sign Up: Head over to the SoundCloud website and click on the “Sign Up” button. You can create an account using your email address and password, or sign up via Facebook, Apple, or Google.
- Activation Code: If you’re activating SoundCloud on a specific device (such as Xbox, Roku, or Apple TV), visit SoundCloud.com/Activate in a web browser. Sign in using your SoundCloud credentials (email and password), or create a new account if you don’t have one. Then, enter the activation code provided by the device.
- Start Listening: Once your account is activated, you can explore and enjoy music on SoundCloud! 🎵
The SoundCloud app is now available on Xbox One. To get started, visit the Windows Store on Xbox and add the SoundCloud app.

How do I upload my own tracks to SoundCloud?
To upload your own tracks to SoundCloud, follow these steps:
1. Using the SoundCloud Website:
- Sign In: Open your web browser and go to the SoundCloud website. Log in to your account (or create one if you haven’t already).
- Upload: Click on the “Upload” button at the top-right corner of the page.
- Choose Files: You can either drag and drop your audio file or click “Choose file to upload” to select it from your computer.
- Basic Info: While your track is uploading, you can add essential information:
- Image: Upload an image (poster) for your track.
- Track Title: Give your track a name.
- Tags: Add relevant tags.
- Description: Write a brief description.
- Privacy Settings: Choose whether your track should be public or private.
- Save: Click “Save” to complete the upload process.
2. Using the SoundCloud App (iOS or Android):
- Sign In: Launch the SoundCloud app on your phone and sign in to your account.
- Upload Icon: Tap the “Upload” icon (usually an upward-pointing arrow) at the top-right corner.
- Select File: Browse your audio files or other locations (like Google Drive or Dropbox) to find your music file.
- Metadata: Ensure your metadata is correct:
- Artwork: Add an image.
- Title: Enter the track title.
- Genre: Specify the genre.
- Description: Provide additional details.
- Privacy: Choose whether the track should be public or private.
- Save: Tap “Save” (usually at the top-right) to start the upload process. The app will show a progress spinner while uploading.
- View Your Track: Head to your profile to see your newly uploaded track. If it shows as “processing,” don’t worry—it means the file is still being transcoded and will be playable shortly.

* A Shuffle button in the player.
* A context menu for options such as Go to profile.
* A start screen playlist so you can get a glimpse of SC before signing in.

To Activate your SoundCloud account :
1. Open the SoundCloud app on Xbox. You will see a code to enter on your mobile device.
2. Open your mobile browser on your device and head to soundcloud.com/activate.
3. On iOS: Open the link directly in the app. You will need to have the latest version of the SoundCloud app downloaded on your mobile device and already be signed in to your SoundCloud account to pair your account on Xbox- you can then enter the code displayed on your Xbox screen
4. On Android: open the link in your mobile browser. Make sure you’re already signed into your SoundCloud account: you will be prompted to a page to enter your code
This app is available in all territories, but Go+ subscribers will have access to the full catalogue only where Go/Go+ plans are available for purchase. Free users will not be able to upgrade through the app right now, but can use the app without a Go subscription. We will not have any download functionality for the time being.
