September 2021 Bank Holidays: Full List of Bank Days Remains Closed This Month
The holiday schedule of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will remain closed for 12 days this month, including 2- 4 saturdays and Sunday.
In September, banks will remain closed for 7 days and the remaining days will be the weekends. Banks in most states are on holiday in Ganesh Chaturthi on 10 September 2021.
Ganesh Chaturthi is the biggest holiday of the month (September 10). Banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur and Panaji will remain closed. On the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi, however, the banks will remain close as on the second Saturday.
On 8 September, on behalf of Tithi Srimanta Sankardev, the bank will be closed in Guwahati.
On the basis of the Teej (Haritalika) and the Indrajatra, the banks will be closed in Gangtok respectively on September 9 and September 20.
Because of Karma Puja on 17 September in Ranchi, banks will remain closed. Banks remain closed to Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on September 21.
