📌 Step 1: Go to the ID Verification / E-KYC Section
Scroll down to the section titled “Request Names and Surname Update” or “Update Personal Details”.
If SASSA has flagged your application for ID verification failure, you will see a prompt to update or verify your identity.
📌 Step 2: Enter Your ID and Phone Number
You’ll be asked to enter:
Your South African ID number.
The mobile number you used during your application.
📌 Step 3: Receive Verification Link
You’ll get an SMS from SASSA with a secure E-KYC link to verify your identity.
This link is personalized and expires after some time, so use it promptly.
📌 Step 4: Complete the E-KYC Process
Click the link from the SMS.
It will open a form where you may need to:
Confirm your full name, surname, and ID number.
Possibly upload supporting documents (e.g., a photo of your ID).
Submit the form.
