Rajmargyatra App Not Working | Server Overload

The Rajmargyatra app, managed by NHAI, is currently experiencing significant traffic and technical updates due to the FASTag Annual Pass fee revision announced yesterday (March 16, 2026).

If the app isn’t working for you today, Tuesday, March 17, it is likely due to one of the following reasons:

1. Server Overload (March 17 Deadline/Updates)

The NHAI recently announced that the Annual Pass fee will increase from ₹3,000 to ₹3,075 starting April 1, 2026. This has caused a surge in users trying to renew or purchase the pass at the current lower rate before the end of the financial year, leading to:

  • Failed Login: The app may hang on the loading screen.

  • Payment Glitches: Money being debited but the pass not showing as “Active” (this can take up to 2 hours to sync).

  • “Annual Pass Missing”: A known glitch where active passes temporarily disappear from the dashboard.

2. Version Mismatch (Mandatory Update)

A new update (v2.1.48) was released very recently to address bug fixes and the new fee structure.

  • Fix: Go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and ensure you are on the latest version. Older versions are frequently blocked from accessing the server for security.

3. Common Technical Fixes

If the app opens but specific features aren’t working:

  • Clear Cache (Android): Go to Settings > Apps > Rajmargyatra > Storage > Clear Cache.

  • Re-verify FASTag: The app requires your FASTag to be active and “Linked to VRN” (Vehicle Registration Number). If your tag is blacklisted or has a low balance, the app features often disable themselves.

  • Check mParivahan Sync: If your PUC (Pollution Under Control) or Insurance has expired, the Rajmargyatra app may fail to process your request as it syncs with the VAHAN database.

What to do if it’s still down?

  • Use the Website: If the app is crashing, the official IHMCL portal often remains more stable for Annual Pass renewals.

  • Call 1033: This is the dedicated NHAI helpline for any Rajmargyatra or FASTag-related issues.

  • WhatsApp Support: You can also contact their support via the WhatsApp link found on the IHMCL website.
