When Will Servers Open?
The servers for “Week 2” of the Closed Alpha are scheduled to open at 01:00 AM PST. Here is what that means for your timezone:
India (IST): Opens today at 2:30 PM (Approx. 2 hours 45 mins from now).
UK (GMT): Opens today at 9:00 AM.
US West (PST): Opens today at 1:00 AM.
Why You See the Error
If you launch the game now, you will likely see “Server Unavailable” or “Connection Failed” because the developers (Krafton) have not physically switched the servers on for this weekend’s session yet.
What is this Test?
Event: Closed Alpha Test (Week 2).
Duration: It will run continuously from Dec 19 (Today) until Dec 21 (Sunday).
Content: This is the extraction shooter spinoff (PvPvE), not the Battle Royale, so expect different mechanics (looting and escaping rather than being the last one standing).
Since you have about 2.5 hours to kill before the servers open (at 2:30 PM IST), here is everything you need to know to be ready.
1. System Requirements (Closed Alpha)
These are the official specs released for the Dec 2025 test. It is slightly more demanding than standard PUBG due to the new lighting and “Anomaly” visual effects.

Note: The game is FPP (First Person) Only for this alpha test. If you rely on TPP peeking in normal PUBG, you will need to adjust your playstyle.
2. Essential “Extraction” Tips (How it differs from BR)
This is not a Battle Royale where the goal is to be the last one standing. Your goal is to Get In -> Loot -> Get Out.
The “Anomaly” is the new Blue Zone:
Instead of a simple circle that closes in, Black Budget uses “The Anomaly.” It’s a shifting, unstable zone that changes the playable area unpredictably. You need to watch your map constantly; if you get caught in it, it doesn’t just damage you—it spawns high-level “Horror” AI enemies.
Don’t Fight Everyone:
In PUBG BR, you shoot on sight. In Black Budget, if you see a squad of 3 and you are Solo, hide. If you die, you lose your gun, your armor, and everything in your backpack permanently. Only take fights you know you can win instantly.
Prioritize the “SAPIENS” Data:
Looting random junk is fine for money, but the real progression comes from finding SAPIENS Research Data (blue folders/drives). These are required to upgrade your Hideout (your persistent base). Upgrading your base is the only way to unlock better insurance and crafting recipes.
Extract Early if Needed:
You don’t have to stay for the full 30 minutes. If you find a rare gun or a quest item in the first 5 minutes, run to an Extraction Point immediately. Banking that loot is better than dying 20 minutes later with a full bag.
