Monthly games are games available for you to download and play at no extra cost during your PlayStation Plus membership. New games are added every calendar month.
When you select a PlayStation Plus game, you can choose to start the download to your PlayStation®5 console or PlayStation®4 console remotely via a web browser or the PlayStation App. Visit the guides below for more information.
PS5™ console: download monthly games
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Scroll to the Benefits tab and select Monthly Games.
- Highlight the game and select Download.
PS4™ console: download monthly games
- From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Scroll down and select Monthly Games.
- Highlight the game and select Add to Library > Download.
Please note, if you’ve downloaded a game or added it to your download list before it’s removed from monthly PlayStation Plus games, you’ll be able to play it for as long as you’re a member of PlayStation Plus. If you choose to cancel your membership, you won’t be able to access any content downloaded as part of monthly PlayStation Plus games, but you’ll regain access if you subscribe again.
How to download PlayStation Plus Collection games (PS5 consoles only)
The PlayStation Plus collection is a library of generation-defining PS4 titles, available to download on PS5 consoles as a benefit to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Scroll to the Benefits tab and select PlayStation Plus Collection.
- Highlight the game and select Download.
WHAT YOU NEED
You’ll need an account for PlayStation Network with a payment method linked to your account, and a broadband internet connection (we recommend 5mbps or higher).
When you join, you’ll have instant access to the latest monthly games from the PlayStation Plus Essential plan, and the entire Game Catalog if you’re an Extra or Deluxe member. PlayStation Plus Deluxe members can also access the Classics Catalog to download and play on console.
How has PlayStation Plus changed?
PlayStation Plus now has three subscription plans with tiered pricing and features, letting you choose the plan that matches the way you play.
The PlayStation Plus features you know – like online multiplayer, monthly games and exclusive discounts – now make up the PlayStation Plus Essential membership plan. We’ve added a Game Catalog of PS4 and PS5 games to download as part of the PlayStation Plus Extra plan, while PlayStation Plus Deluxe gives you the Classics Catalog and limited-time trials for a selection of new games from PlayStation Store.
How can I change my membership plan?
You can purchase a new subscription that will start when your existing plan ends – so if you’re eligible for an unmissable deal on a PlayStation Plus membership, you can take advantage of the special price and keep your membership active for longer. The new membership period will begin as soon as your current plan ends.
To upgrade your membership plan to PlayStation Plus Extra or Deluxe, you just need to purchase a membership at that level. You will pay a pro-rated fee to bring your payments to the level of your new plan for the remainder of the paid membership period.
To change from your current plan to a lower tier plan, sign-in to the account settings page for your account for PlayStation Network and choose the Subscriptions tab to manage your PlayStation Plus membership plan. Your membership will continue on a lower tier plan after the next payment date.
