Anyone can use the app because it is free to download and install. However, you may be dissatisfied if your expectations aren’t met. It’s been known for months that Windows 11 will not be officially supported on computers with CPUs older than four years old.

Many PC users with relatively new machines have been irritated by the requirements. Despite this, Microsoft has defended the system requirements, pointing to the safety and stability of the OS as justification. Windows 11 will be allowed to be manually installed on unsupported PCs by Microsoft, but users should exercise caution because these machines will not receive automatic software updates.

In June, Microsoft unveiled the PC Health Check app along with the release of Windows 11. However, it was withdrawn as soon as there were concerns raised about the supported systems. As a result, Microsoft’s list of supported CPUs was updated, and the PC Health Check app was restored. However, the tool was only available to those who had signed up for the Windows Insider programme. Anyone can now access and use the programme because it has been made freely available online.
