OSRS Mobile Not Working | When Will OSRS Be Back Up

As of Thursday, November 20, 2025, Old School RuneScape (OSRS) is currently experiencing login issues, primarily affecting mobile users.

This appears to be due to a combination of high player traffic from the Sailing skill launch (released yesterday, Nov 19) and scheduled Cloudflare maintenance.

When will it be back up?

  • Estimated Time: The ongoing Cloudflare maintenance is scheduled to conclude around 19:00 UTC today (approx. 2:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM GMT).

  • Current Status: The game servers themselves are technically online, but the login services (which verify your account) are struggling. This explains why you might see “Connecting to server” loops or generic error messages while others are already playing.

Fixes & Workarounds to Try Now

If you are stuck in a login loop or seeing a “Check your connection” error, try these steps:

  1. Switch Networks: If you are on Wi-Fi, switch to mobile data (or vice versa). This is the most consistent fix reported by players today.

  2. Force Close & Clear Cache: Completely close the app (swipe it away) and clear the app cache in your phone’s settings before relaunching.

  3. Avoid Spamming Login: If you get the “Too many login attempts” error, wait a full 30 minutes before trying again. Spamming the button will only extend the lockout timer.

  4. Use Desktop (If possible): The PC client (via Jagex Launcher) is reportedly more stable than mobile right now if you just need to check your account.

Note: With the massive influx of players for the Sailing update, queue times and instability are expected to persist intermittently throughout the weekend.
