You can activate your Optima Health Flex Card by login on to optimahealth.nationsbenefits.com and enter the 16 digit card number ad expiry date on the page.
Your Optima Medicare plan can help keep more money in your pocket when you take advantage of your OTC quarterly allowance.
Purchase a wide selection of non-prescription drugs, supplies, and healthcare products through the plan’s catalog of items. You must spend your allowance each quarter. Leftover funds cannot be carried over to the next quarter.

Members of our Optima Community Complete, Optima Medicare Salute, and Optima Medicare Value can shop for a variety of brand-name and generic health foods with a monthly grocery allowance. Order your own grocery card to shop in stores, or order groceries online through your NationsBenefits® member portal, by phone, or by mail.
Your grocery card will reload on the first day of the month. The grocery card allowance expires at the end of every month.
Order your grocery card online. or by calling 1-877-438-7521 (TTY: 711), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Retail stores where you can use your card include:
- Harris Teeter
- Kroger
- Rite Aid
- Walgreens
- Walmart
To order by mail, use the order form located in your NationsOTC® catalog. If you order groceries online or by mail or phone, they will be delivered to your home within 2 days at no charge.
Activate Card
Once you receive and activate your card, you can start using it online through the MyBenefits portal and the MyBenefits app and/or in person at a participating retail location near you. When at a retail location, simply swipe your card for payment.
1. Visit optimahealth.nationsbenefits.com or call 877-438-7521 (TTY: 711)
2. Enter the 16 digit card number and expiration date of your Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card
3. Your 12-digit member ID contains 2 letters and 10 numbers
4. Enter your Date of Birth and Last Name provided to your health plan during enrollment
5. Click on Activate Card Button to activate your card
If you had a Benefit Card (Grocery and Rewards) in 2022, you will be receiving a NEW Prepaid Flex Card by January 14, 2023. The new card will arrive in an unmarked envelope for your protection with instructions on how to activate it. While you are waiting for the card to arrive, you have an option to utilize your balance on Nations Website at OptimaHealth.NationsBenefits.com. to purchase grocery items.
