ODJFS Login Portal Unemployment Ohio

To set up or log into your ODJFS unemployment account, go back to the unemployment website and enter your SSN to get started.

After logging in, click on the human icon in the top right corner of the screen next to the “Log Out” option. After clicking the icon, a drop down will appear with your name and user ID listed. The eight-digit number that begins with a seven is your OH|ID User ID.

“The phone number complements a secure online portal ODJFS established last month to provide a direct way for victims to report identity theft. Individuals who believe their identity was stolen and used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim can visit unemployment.ohio.gov, click on the “Report Identity Theft” button and follow the guidance for individuals.

This includes three steps:-

1. Complete the reporting form

2. File your taxes with IRS guidance, and

3. Protect your identity,”

the agency said.

“Identity theft is a widespread national challenge. Many Ohioans have become victims, and their identities used to file fraudulent unemployment claims in both the traditional unemployment and Pandemic Unemployment Assistance programs,” the agency said.

Where do I apply for unemployment in Ohio?

To apply online, go to unemployment.ohio.gov and follow the steps listed below. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can apply by calling 1-877-644-6562. Call center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Note that it is not possible to apply for unemployment benefits in person.

If you are unemployed through no fault of your own, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits. Unemployment insurance is paid for mainly by employers. It provides weekly payments for a short time while you find another job. Generally speaking, you must be unemployed due to no fault of your own.
