Activating your badge for New York Comic Con (NYCC) is required for entry and to access various features and benefits at the event. By activating your badge and tapping it at NYCC, you’ll unlock special content to make your experience way cooler.
Here’s how to activate your NYCC badge (and what to do if things aren’t working) based on the official guidance:

Get your physical badge
You’ll receive it in the mail or pick it up at Will Call prior to or during the event.
Find the 8‑digit activation code
On the back (usually bottom left) of the badge, there’s an orange 8‑digit code that you’ll use to activate it.
Log into My Tickets / ShowClix / NYCC profile
Use the email address that the badge is registered to (either the one you purchased it with or accepted a transferred badge).
Go to “Manage New York Comic Con Profile”
After login, this is where your assigned badges will show. Click “Activate Credential” for each badge.
Enter the 8‑digit code
Input the activation number and click “Activate.” After that, you’ll get confirmation that the badge is activated and ready.
Use your badge at the event
When you arrive, tap or scan your badge at entry and at participating exhibitors or panels.

⚠️ Common Problems & Troubleshooting
“Activate” button not showing / page not active yet
Multiple attendees report that early on, the activation feature might not yet be live.
Badge transferred but not accepted
If someone else bought the badge and it wasn’t transferred (or accepted in their account), it won’t show up to activate. You must transfer AND accept before activation.
No “Manage NYCC Profile” option visible
Some users say they don’t see that button. In those cases, switching browser, clearing cache, or contacting customer support may help.
Activation link / site not working / redirect issues
Others have had the activation URL lead to a “404” or redirect to unrelated pages—likely because the activation system isn’t fully live yet.
Multiple badges / multiple days
If you have badges for multiple days, each one must be activated separately.
Reservations link to the badge
To use reservations (for panels, autographs, etc.), your badge needs to be activated first.
For other badge types:
- Sidekick, Exhibitor, Premium Exhibitor, Artist Alley, Writers Block, Talent, Panelist, BOH, Vendor, Staff, Crew, etc.: You will use a separate activation page to activate these badges.
