Nations Benefits Anthem | MyBenefits.NationsBenefits.com Access Benefits

NationsBenefits manages the Over-the-Counter (OTC) and wellness benefits for many Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (Medicare Advantage) plans.

If you have an Anthem Benefits Prepaid Card, NationsBenefits is the partner that actually fulfills your orders and tracks your allowance.

Here is a guide on how to access, use, and manage these benefits for 2025.

1. How to Access Your Benefits

To check your balance, view the catalog, or place an order, you need to use the NationsBenefits specific portal, not just the main Anthem site.

  • Website: MyBenefits.NationsBenefits.com

  • Mobile App: Download the Benefits Pro app (by NationsBenefits) from the App Store or Google Play.

    • Note: While you can see general plan info on Anthem’s “Sydney Health” app, the Benefits Pro app is better for scanning products in-store to see if they are eligible.

2. What You Can Buy (The Allowance)

Depending on your specific Anthem plan, your card may cover one or more of the following “wallets”:

  • OTC Items: Vitamins, pain relief, first aid, cold medicine, dental care, etc.

  • Groceries (Essential Extras): Healthy food items like fruits, vegetables, meat, and dairy (if you qualify for this specific benefit).

  • Utilities: Gas, water, electric, or internet bills.

3. How to Shop

You have four ways to use your allowance:

A. In-Store (Retailers)

You can use your Benefits Prepaid Card like a debit card at participating stores.

  • Stores: Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Kroger, and many major grocery chains.

  • Important: The card works at the physical register at Walmart, but it is NOT accepted for online orders at Walmart.com.

B. Online (Home Delivery)

  • Log in to the NationsBenefits Portal.

  • Browse the digital catalog and add items to your cart.

  • Shipping is free, and items are delivered to your door (usually within 2–5 days).

C. By Phone

Call the automated system or a representative to place an order from the catalog.

  • Phone Number:1-866-413-2582 (TTY: 711)

D. By Mail

  • If you received a paper catalog in the mail, you can fill out the order form included in the back and mail it to NationsBenefits.

4. Customer Service Contacts

If your card is declined or you have trouble logging in:

  • NationsBenefits (OTC/Card Issues): 1-866-413-2582

  • Anthem Member Services (General Plan Questions): Call the number on the back of your ID card (often 1-855-731-1090 or similar depending on your state).

Pro Tip: If you are shopping in a store (like Walmart) and aren’t sure if an item is covered, open the Benefits Pro app on your phone and use the “Scanner” feature. Scan the barcode of the product, and it will instantly tell you “Eligible” or “Not Eligible” so you don’t get surprised at the checkout.
