There will soon be a medical counselling committee (MCC) for students who qualified for NEET UG 2021. Applicants for MBBS and BDS programmes in medical schools will be accepted through MCC counselling. NEET counselling 2021 will require students to register through mcc.nic.in for the all-India quota (AIQ).
The NEET 2021 counselling schedule, seat matrix, and a detailed information brochure will soon be available on MCC’s official website.
MCC conducts NEET counselling for admission to government colleges, central and deemed universities, seats reserved for the wards of insured persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges, and seats at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.
What is the quota for the ESIC?
Quotas in MCC counselling for admission to UG medical seats are reserved for the wards of ESIC-insured individuals (ESIC). ESIC’s 15% IP quota seats are open to insured individuals (IPs).
A “Ward of Insured Person” certificate will be required of medical applicants who wish to be admitted through this quota. This certificate is issued by an ESIC-authorized body and serves as proof of an insured person’s identity and coverage.
Colleges and universities like BHU, AIIMS, and JIPMER offer admission to students in various seats. The Medical Council of India (MCI) is responsible for granting admission to all AIIMS MBBS seats in India. In addition, MCC counselling is used to assign students to BHU’s MBBS and BDS programmes.
It is not only MCC that conducts medical counselling for AYUSH seats, but also the Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC).
