What is the quota for the ESIC?

Quotas in MCC counselling for admission to UG medical seats are reserved for the wards of ESIC-insured individuals (ESIC). ESIC’s 15% IP quota seats are open to insured individuals (IPs).

A “Ward of Insured Person” certificate will be required of medical applicants who wish to be admitted through this quota. This certificate is issued by an ESIC-authorized body and serves as proof of an insured person’s identity and coverage.

Colleges and universities like BHU, AIIMS, and JIPMER offer admission to students in various seats. The Medical Council of India (MCI) is responsible for granting admission to all AIIMS MBBS seats in India. In addition, MCC counselling is used to assign students to BHU’s MBBS and BDS programmes.

It is not only MCC that conducts medical counselling for AYUSH seats, but also the Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC).
