The Version 20260101 patch for Marvel Rivals was released today, January 1, 2026. The good news is there is no server downtime for this update; it is a “patch and play” release.
You just need to download the update and you can jump right back in.
Here are the key highlights from today’s notes:
1. New Event: Chrono-Rush
Goal: A catch-up event for the Battle Pass before the season ends.
Rewards: You can now earn unlimited Chrono Tokens by playing matches to finish your Battle Pass.
Luxury Pass Update: If you have the Luxury Battle Pass, the final page now lets you exchange extra Chrono Tokens for Accessory Points.
Duration: Runs from today until January 16, 2026.

2. Hero Updates & Fixes
Star-Lord: His “Wooden Whizbang” traversal emote was fixed so he no longer “moonwalks” accidentally; it’s now smoother.
Angela: Fixed a bug where enemies carried by her Assassin’s Charge would sometimes glitch into “abnormal locations” (like inside walls).
Rogue: Fixed a specific bug with her Ultimate. If she hit Winter Soldier while he was using his Ultimate, she would sometimes gain incorrect energy amounts.
Emma Frost: Adjusted the audio for her Psychic Spear (with the Hellfire Protocol skin) because it was painfully loud for the person getting hit.
3. Store & Cosmetics
New Bundles (Available Jan 2):
Loki: Lady Loki Bundle
Human Torch: Jack of Hearts Bundle
New MVP Animations: Added for Star-Lord, Scarlet Witch, Namor, Adam Warlock, Wolverine, Blade, The Thing, Iron Fist, and Black Widow.
Traversal Emote Change: All traversal emotes are now standardized to move forward only (you steer with the camera now).
4. Today’s In-Game Event
If you log in today, the Times Square map is still hosting the New Year’s event.
Reward: You can claim the “New Year 2026” title if you enter the map before January 3rd.
