The 2025/26 Ashes series is currently underway. ABC Listen App: The official government broadcaster. Look for the “ABC Grandstand” station.
1. How to Listen Live (Audio Only)
If you want to listen to the radio commentary (the classic way to follow cricket), you have several options. Note that the Australian apps may be geo-blocked if you are trying to access them from India without a VPN.
ABC Listen App: The official government broadcaster. Look for the “ABC Grandstand” station.
SEN App: Commercial sports radio (Sports Entertainment Network).
Triple M: Commercial rock/sport station.
Cricket Australia Live App: This app aggregates the radio streams (ABC, SEN, Triple M) into one place.
2. How to Watch in Australia (If you have access)
If you are in Australia (or have a way to access Australian services), the rights are split between Free-to-Air and Paid TV.
Free-to-Air TV: Channel 7 (Broadcasts every Test match live).
Free Streaming: 7plus (The app for Channel 7). Note: This is strictly geo-blocked to Australia.
Paid Streaming (4K/No Ads): Kayo Sports or Foxtel.

3. How to Watch in India
Since you are in Kerala, you cannot use the Australian apps (7plus/ABC) without a VPN. The official broadcaster for the Ashes in India is the Star Sports Network.
TV Channel: Star Sports 1 or Star Sports Select (Check your local DTH listings).
Streaming App: Disney+ Hotstar (Recently merged under the JioStar brand, but the Hotstar app is the primary platform for this series).
Current Match Status
Match: 2nd Test (Day/Night Pink Ball Test)
Venue: The Gabba, Brisbane
Status: IN PROGRESS (December 4–8, 2025)
Local Time Note: Because this is a Day/Night test in Brisbane, play starts later in the day.
Recommendation:
If you are in India, open the Disney+ Hotstar app or tune into Star Sports. If you specifically want the Australian radio commentary (which is often better), try the ABC Listen app, but you may need a VPN set to Australia if it doesn’t load.
