Due to Ken Rosenthal’s criticism of Commissioner Rob Manfred, MLB Network has severed ties with him. Since leaving MLB Network after 13 years, Rosenthal will continue to work with The Athletic and Fox Sports as an analyst.
There are currently no scheduled CBA negotiations between MLB and the MLBPA, and the lockout remains a mystery.
More information about Fanatics’ rumoured acquisition of Topps, the trading card company, will be revealed later this week.
After 15 seasons in the Major League Baseball, veteran outfielder Cameron Maybin has announced his retirement. He intends to continue his involvement in baseball through the Players Alliance in order to help the next generation of African-American baseball players get a leg up on their peers.
In a statement on social media, the well-known sports reporter confirmed the news, which comes after months of public criticism of Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred. His departure from the MLB Network is being blamed on his criticism of Commissioner Brian Manfred, who he first wrote about in June 2020.
In spite of his departure from the MLB Network, Rosenthal will continue to work for Fox Sports and The Athletic.
